3 Ways to Improve Your Life TODAY!

If you have ever made a resolution to do something and never did it, I can tell you why. You either had no good or valid "why" for the "what" or you did not break down the "what" into little action steps. It does not get any more simple than that.

The latter is probably the single biggest reason why most people do not accomplish most of the things they do not accomplish. If you think about losing 50 pounds, you will probably never do it. If you think about losing 5 pounds, it is much more likely. If you think about paying off your $10,000 in credit card debt, you will probably never do it.

If you resolve to stop using them (i.e. do not add more to the debt) and pay $400 per month, you will be amazed at how quickly you see significant dents being made in that amount. If you want to write a best-seller, do you call Random House today and tell them to get ready for you? Of course not, you need to write the first sentence.

Tell me...when you want to get to the top of a staircase, do you jump straight to the landing? Of course not, you step on the first step. It is that simple. Do not make this more complicated than it actually is.

How many things in your life have you not done simply because you were not sure what that first step was? Make just one resolution right now. Resolve to never do that again! Get out of your own way.

Here are 3 things you can start doing today that show you the awesome power of taking baby steps:

1. Get rid of one thing that irritates you. It might be something on your calendar that you really do not want to do. It might be making that phone call that you have avoided for the past 2 weeks even though it must be done and you cannot stop thinking about it. It might be taking a different way home so that you do not get caught up in traffic. These are simple things that make a HUGE difference in your stress levels! The irony is that YOU cause them all. The beauty is that YOU have total control over changing them.

2. Delegate one thing. Ask someone if they will help you do one thing today. You will be amazed at how often people want to help. You may also discover that something you do not like to do is something that someone else loves to do! There is even the possibility that they do it better than you and you are no longer asked to do it! How is that for freeing up some time. Give it a shot.

3. Get clarity on one thing that you will regret never doing if you keep pushing it to the side. Just get clarity on it. It could be making a phone call to someone or writing a letter. It could be writing that book or recording that song. It could be volunteering or learning to water ski! It could be anything! What is one thing you will look back on and say "could have, would have, should have." Resolve to NOT let that happen. Then decide what step one needs to be (probably a phone call or looking something up on the internet to see where you can do that). It is easier than you are making it!

You know what the greatest thing about this is? It does not cost you any time! It actually makes time for you! Remember that we all have exactly the same amount of time...24 hours in every day. Have you ever wondered why some people accomplish more with their 24 hours than others do with their 24 hours? They simply employ these types of actions. Do not spend any more time thinking about yesterday! Try one of these today and watch your stress levels start to dip! Taking control is fun and empowering.

Get Clarity...Get Moving...Get Happy!.
